These should last a long time with the cast iron build., and with online videos showing the strong build quality of the internal parts.
Increasing or decreasing the weights are a breeze with the switch dial.
The knurling is aggressive.
There is a little rattle with the weights when in use, but that is expected because of the design of the plates. But there is no threat of plates falling off.
The plates tend to stick to the cradle sometimes when removing the dumbbell from the cradle.
And putting the dumbbell back in the cradle requires a little patience as the plates slightly get out of alignment, but nothing to worry about.
These are just minor inconveniences.
No need to worry about the 10 pound increments because the magnetic weights included in the bundle allow you to go up 2 1/2 or 5 pounds at a time.
The magnets are flat, so the dumbbells rest nice on your legs.
The stand is solid and beautiful to look at, and does not take up much space at all.
