The MAXUM 2.5 lb Magnetic Weights are designed to work with Snode AD80 and AD50 adjustable dumbbells to allow for 2.5 and 5 lb weight increments. These magnetic weights solve the obvious limitation of the 10 lb increments of Snode AD80 and AD50, making them hands down the best adjustable dumbbells on the market.

The magnet weight’s unique design allows you to rest your dumbbells on your knees comfortably and safely.

The weights securely and firmly attach to the ends of the dumbbells and stay attached. The bevelled edges allows your fingers to get under them to easily lift them off.

Made from 100% cast iron and finished in a durable powder coat, they are made to last.

Sold as a set of 4 x 2.5 lb magnetic weights.

    The flat add-on plates are great compared to the actual snode add-on ones. Most people are going to need the add-on plates because snodes only do 10lb increments. they made it way more comfortable to rest on your thighs if you need to. I use the mad spotter dumbbell hooks so that isn't a huge issue but oh just fyi, the mad spotter hooks work great with the snodes. I got the bundle with the dumbbell rack on sale and I feel it was a great value overall.

    The magnets make it easy and solves the issue of Snode dumbbells only having 10LBS increments. These magnets have a strong magnetic pull and stick well to the dumbbells. They are also flat!!! So you can rest the dumbells on your legs without it pocking you. These magnets are ESSENTIAL if you are gettinf the Snode dumbbels. Great product!

    That's a good thing.

    Aldo they are very flat and do not protrude at all.

    Very comfortable when placed on your knees.

    The magnets on these are no joke and require quite a bit of force to remove. In fact, these magnets are so strong that I use some of the foam packaging it came with to make them easier to remove since they have a very strong hold. Additionally, I've also tried adding flat magnetic 1.25 lb weights on top of these for additional adjustment (while still using the foam) and there have been no issues with this setup. It would be great if Maxum also paired 1.25 weights to pair with these as an option to get even more adjustability while still being able to comfortably place these dumbells on your lap unlike Snode's magnet weights. These extra strong quality magnet weights inspire full confidence and are just great!

    I received these with my Snode AD80 and stand set - I was expecting the round silver ones I have seen in all of the videos. I was a little disappointed; but they feel better on the legs since they are flat. The magnet is intense though - it was harder to separate the magnetic plates from themselves and the weights than actually lifting all 80lbs. You should have no worries about them shifting while in use.
